Zombies, killer dresses, and ancient curses prove that Halloween in Threadville can be sew spooky…
Could there possibly be more things going on in Threadville, Pennsylvania? Edna and Gord are getting married, there is a Halloween Craft Fair and don’t forget the Zombie retreat!! If that isn’t enough Willow’s mother has sent her a cranky house guest to stay with her and Edna’s mother is in town for the wedding. There are also some other unique individuals in town for the festivities. Hold on to your sewing machines and knitting needles, this is going to be a crazy week in Threadville!!! Especially when someone ends up dead!!
Dollycas’s Thoughts
If you know me you know zombies/living dead are not by thing. If anybody was going to get me to read a book witth zombies it would be Janet Bolin. Truthfully these were not the real “walking dead”, the were human alive and mostly well, attending a zombie retreat. They would only make you scream if you ran into them in the dark. Not too scary in the light of day.
In addition to the zombies we meet Edna’s mom, Mrs. Batterby. She will grow on you as the story continues. Willow house guest is a whole different story. Willow has the patience of a saint! I would have sent this girl packing after the first night no matter how much guilt my mother foisted upon me.
All our favorite characters are back too, Opal, Naomi, Haylee, Clay, Vicki, Tally-Ho and Sally-Forth. They are joined by Mustache and Bow-Tie, 2 frisky felines.
The author has written a fantastic story that will have you chasing clues, visiting a haunted graveyard, and finding what glow in the dark thread is all about.
She will have you laughing out loud and the last line will again bring a smile to your face.
She also has all set for our next visit to Threadville. I can’t wait to make the trip!! I know she has just turned in the manuscript and we have a long wait ahead but these stories are so good they are definitely worth the wait!! She has given us some crafty inspiration to take up some of the time too.
